Now the Nyack chef is at the helm at 8 North Broadway and is busy showcasing his love for Mediterranean cuisine.
"I love creating new, inventive dishes for our menu," he said.
Trained under Chef (and owner) Constantine Kalandranis, Osorio is always willing to try new things.
8 North is going through a little bit of a re-discovery and re-introduction. The restaurant, a sibling to 273 Kitchen in Harrison and the about-to-be-opened.PopoJito, a gluten-free Mexican/Mediterranean fast-casual eatery in Scarsdale, will be celebrating its five-year anniversary in December.
To that end, an $8 at 8 bar menu has been introduced; served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The18-seat copper overlaid bar, where folks tend to hang out, features new items such as double stuffed oysters, a lamb kofta slider burger with a potato croquette, manti ravioli in broth, salmon or chicken kebab, flatbread of the evening or chile soaked grilled wings for $8 along with a four-ounce pour of wine or six-ounce pour of beer.
