SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Ghoulies, ghosties, long-leggedy beasties, and other things that go bump in the night will be showing off their frightening finery at Suffern’s upcoming Halloween parade.
The macabre march starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 in municipal parking lot A at the corner of Orange and Lafayette Avenues in the village.
The parade proceeds along Lafayette and ends up at the Virginia Menschner Gazebo at the corner of Lafayette and Washington Avenues.
All are welcome to join the parade.
Prizes for best costumes will be given out and free refreshments provided at the gazebo.
If it rains, the parade itself will be canceled but costume judging and other festivities will take place in the George J. Parness Community Center, 41 Washington Ave.
For more information, call the village’s recreation department at (845) 357-7943.
