This story that was shared on Facebook by the Suffern Chamber of Commerce claimed actor Bill Murray recently enjoying his time in the village, including scarfing down a tasty burger.

One problem: the article came from WKY12 News, which on its "About" page reveal it's a satirical website.

"Most articles on this website are works of fantasy or satire and are not true," the disclaimer reads.  This website is meant for entertainment purposes only. Suffern residents did not seem entertained.

"Wow. Really?" Jana Kaplan commented. "Come on. Get on the ball! Fake news."

"Yes, sadly, it's fake," Janet Dyer said. "He also 'said' that about towns in Oklahoma and Delaware."
