Ramapo Offers Free Mulch For Homeowners

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Now that's it's spring, it's time to get those garden and beds ready for April flowers.

Residents can pick up free mulch beginning Friday.

To help, the Town of Ramapo is offering free untreated leaf mulch to homeowners, beginning Friday, April 21, in the afternoon, town officials said.

Residents may pick up as much as they need but will need to bring their own containers and bags. Commercial and private landscapers are not eligible to participate.

The mulch can be picked up at the Spook Rock Swimming Pool parking lot, Spook Rock Road, Suffern.

The mulch will be available from 8 a.m. to dusk each day after Friday's kick-off while supplies last.
