Before you hit the stores or websites, be sure to make a list and do your research. Lots of places offer doorbuster deals on select school supplies, like notebooks, paper, and pens for cents on the dollar. But other items at the same stores could be overpriced; so don't get stuck paying too much just to get your shopping done all at once.
Backpacks are another item that can easily be found cheap this season. But remember that if a backpack doesn't fit properly or provide proper support, it could cause your student back pain and discomfort.
Online shopping is great because it makes comparing prices easy. However, if you do want to go into a store, shopping centers like the Palisades Mall and the Shops at Nanuet make it easy to compare prices at multiple stores at the same time.
