Tech Adventure Welcomes Students From Across Rockland County

NANUET, N.Y. -- Tech Adventure, Rockland County’s premier STEM Enrichment Center located on Route 59 in Nanuet opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week.

Alysson Burgos, the owner of Tech Adventure, was joined by local elected officials, members of the Rockland Business Association, members of the educational community and the public to mark the opening of the new venture that merges technology and science education into an engaging, entertaining format.

"Tech Adventure is like space camp, a tech store, an arcade, a museum, and an amusement park all rolled into one,' said Burgos. "We don’t just play with Legos and computers – we have a curriculum that strives to develop and enhance 21st Century skills such as creativity, innovation, high-level critical thinking and problem solving, and collaboration. It’s an exciting environment that inspires energetic exploration."

Tech Adventure makes technology education feel more like entertainment in its brand new 4,000 square foot STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) enrichment center for children and teens. Tech Adventure will provide students, K-12 with a real academic edge through its innovative and exciting tutoring/after-school program. Its focus is for children to learn and explore science and technology in an engaging, interactive, and creative environment. 

In addition to the structured programs and classes, Tech Adventure offers a unique, MakerSpace, where students can explore and test in a freestyle format using materials and resources provided. It also has a homework area with computer resources along with highly- qualified tutors available to answer questions or to provide one-on-one tutoring help.

Tech Adventure is also the place to be this summer with registration is ongoing for the “hottest” Summer Camp in Rockland County, with 8 sessions running from July 11 through Sept. 2. More info is available on their website.
