More than $22,000 had been raised as of Thursday on a GoFundMe for Melanie Fraiman Siegel's children, Ilyssa, Hilary, and Jeremy.
She died on Jan. 25 after a battle with cancer.
Melanie received a B.S. degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University and a R.N. degree from Pace University. She then went on to complete her Masters Degree in education. She worked as a nurse at NYU Medical Center in pediatrics and later on as a school nurse at Meadowbrook School in Hillsdale.
She is survived by her children Ilyssa, Hilary, and Jeremy; parents Linda and Russel; brother, Howard (Kara); sister, Jodi (Dave); brother Mitchell (Nicole); many treasured nieces and nephews; special friends; and her dear friend, Wayne Reisner.
