SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Suffern's and America's newest sweetheart Grace VanderWaal, received a special gift from Taylor Swift after winning America’s Got Talent last week, according to ew.com.

The 12-year-old sang her way into the hearts of the judges and America on the NBC reality competition series, prompting a tidal wave of good wishes and praise from celebrities, family and friends on social media, said ew.com.

But the biggest surprise came from her idol Taylor Swift, who sent flowers, causing the young singer/songwriter to post her reaction via a video on Twitter that shows her jumping up and down in shock from the gift, added ew.com.

“Words can not explain how honored I am for this,” wrote VanderWaal. “Thank. You. SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!”

During the Suffern resident's first audition, Simon Cowell said that she would be “the next Taylor Swift,” reported ew.com.

Katy Perry, another one of the young girl's idols, also showed her support. “Congrats! You have it,” wrote Perry in a tweet. “Protect it and keeping playing and writing…it will always serve you,” said ew.com.
