Upper Saddle River Native's Son Snaps Selfie With Bernie Sanders

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. — An Upper Saddle River native's son was boarding a flight from Washington D.C. to Vermont when he noticed throngs of people crowding around around someone in the airport.

Conor Zeya, 16 — whose mom is an Upper Saddle River native — ran into U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders on his flight to mountain school.

It wasn't long before Eileen O'Grady's son, Conor Zeya, realized it was U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.

"You'd think it was like, Mick Jagger, or Bono," said O'Grady of Washington D.C., whose father owned a toy store in Hackensack.

Zeya, 16, an avid Sanders supporter, went right up to the politician and simply asked for a photograph together.

"He was very gracious," O'Grady said of Sanders. "He got up with every single person and smiled.

"And of course, he sat in coach."
