NEW HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – A special meeting to discuss possible changes to zoning laws in New Hempstead, that had been set for Monday, Oct. 26 at Village Hall is cancelled, according to the village's website .
Changes to zoning laws could affect the fate of the 34-acre property at 227 Summit Park Road purchased in July 2014 by New Jersey businessman Joseph Kazarnovsky, who formed Summit Hempstead LLC, lohud.com reports.
The site of the former Matterhorn Nursery, residents are worried that high density development is planned, but so far there’s no application, Lohud says.
