Downed Tree Brings Down Two Poles, Causing Chestnut Ridge Road Closure

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A portion of Summit Road in Chestnut Ridge is closed due to a tree falling on wires and pulling down two utility poles, Ramapo Police said on Friday.

O&R Utilities is currently working the scene, which is between Red Schoolhouse Road and Tice Court.

It will be closed for an extended period of time, possibly eight hours, Ramapo Police announced before noon.
