Missing Ramapo Woman Found, Is Safe

The 77-year-old woman who went missing from her home in the area of Wesley Chapel Road in the Village of Wesley Hills early Friday afternoon was found Friday night.

Update, Friday, 9:30 p.m.

At about 8:40 p.m., Valentina Godik was located by a Ramapo police officer, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's office. She was transported by Ramapo Valley Ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital as a precaution.

It was reported that she had Alzheimer’s disease.

The following agencies assisted in the search: Rockland County Sheriff’s Department, Westchester County Police Aviation Unit, Tallman Fire Department, Suffern Fire Department, Stony Point Fire Department, Mahwah Fire Department, Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp and Chaverim Community Group.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Ramapo Police Department is asking the public's help in the search for a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease.

Valentina Godin, 77, was last seen wearing brown skirt and white shirt. She has been missing since late Friday morning in the Wesley Hills area.

Anyone who sees her is asked to contact Ramapo Police at 845-357-2400.
