A stretch of Lafayette Avenue was closed at times during the day, but Suffern residents didn't seem to mind.

That's because the closures were due to a Hollywood production with scenes from the movie, “The Meyerowitz Stories," being shot in the Rockland County village.

Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller play half-brothers, with Dustin Hoffman playing the role of their father.

The 78-year-old Hoffman reportedly has grown a gray bushy beard for the film, which shot scenes in Manhattan last month.

English acting veteran Emma Thompson is also appearing in the film, which is being directed by Noah Baumbach.

Thompson and Stiller stopped by at Rhodes North Tavern in Sloatsburg after the shoot. Owner Tom Rhodes told News 12 the two even went behind the bar briefly to serve customers.

There has been no word on the when the movie is expected to be released.
