The training will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 29 at the Allison-Parris County Office Building, 11 New Hempstead Road, New City.
The event is open to anyone age 18 and older. Participants who register to take part will receive a free Narcan rescue kit.
"We are losing too many of our young people to opioid addiction," said Day. "We have to use all of the tools at our disposal to save them."

The Rockland County Department of Mental Health is presenting the training session in conjunction with the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
"We are excited to host this training which highlights naloxone as a short-term response to save lives," said Rockland Commissioner of Mental Health Michael Leitzes. "This event is just one piece of a larger strategy to prevent substance use disorders in Rockland County."
Residents who are concerned about a friend or family member accidentally overdosing are welcome to attend the training.
The Narcan training will be held on Drug Take Back Day, a nationwide event designed to allow people to safely dispose of unwanted medications.
A drop-off site will be located in the County Office Building that day.
