SPRING VALLEY, N. Y. -- Facing pressure from state and county authorities over building and fire safety issues, Spring Valley Mayor Demeza Delhomme said this week that the village's Building Department is fixing its problems, according to lohud.com.
Delhomme called a press conference Wednesday to address what the village has done to meet state demands to improve building inspections and record keeping, lohud.com reported.
The New York Division of Building Sandards and Codes give Spring Valley 30 days to address longstanding concerns about building and fire safety, lohud.com said.
