Three Mahwah men were arrested Thursday after police say they caused a disturbance at a Route 17 restaurant in Hillburn, according to the Ramapo Police Department.
The unidentified men from Mahwah, N.J., came into the establishment intoxicated around 10:30 p.m. and began fighting with restaurant employees, police said.
According to employees, the men allegedly became rowdy and damaged a sign, a bathroom hand-dryer, and a wall separator in the dining area, police said.
They also physically fought with a bartender who tried to intervene, police said.
A 22-year-old male was arrested for harassment, and released on his own recognizance. A 21-year-old male was charged with criminal mischief and released on bail and the third male, a 19-year-old, was charged with harassment, and possession of a forged instrument for having an altered driver’s license. He was held for arraignment, police said.
All are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
