SUFFERN, N.Y. — Suffern resident Dr. Harris L. Hurwitz died on Saturday May 7. He was 76.
Harris was born in Brooklyn in 1940 to Ray and Irving Hurwitz.
Harris attended Brooklyn College and NYU Dental school before moving to Rockland County to open his orthodontic practice.
Hurwitz is survived by his his wife Susan; his children, Valerie and her husband, Eric Kleiner, Jessica and her husband, Billy Rattner, Hillary Herman, Allison and her husband, John Steinmetz and Michael and his wife, Gayle Herman; and his grandchildren Emma, Jackson, Lucy, David, Alex, Cameron and Deia.
He also is survived by his brother David and his wife, Claudia.
Funeral services will be held at the Nyack branch of the Reform Temple of Rockland, 330 N. Highland Ave., at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 13.
