Alexander was born November 8, 1973, in New Delhi, India, and graduated from Pearl River High School in 1991. While a student, Alexander was a member of the marching band, cross country, track, and tennis teams.
Alexander completed his undergraduate education at Syracuse University where he met his wife Heather in the marching band. He went on to earn a master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and later moved to Los Angeles.
He married Heather Schwarze in September 2005 and welcomed their daughter Maya in September 2010.
Alexander is survived by his wife Heather and daughter Maya of Los Angeles, Calif.; his mother and father, Daisy and Alex of Pearl River; his brother, James of Manhattan, and numerous extended family members.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home of New City. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 29 at Saint Aedan's Church of Pearl River.
