Services Scheduled For Suffern Native Killed After Being Hit In Driveway

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  Services have been set for former teacher Ashley Nicole Badenchini, 25, who died Sunday after being hit by a pickup truck.

Badenchini, of Stony Point, was killed after she exited a 2015 Dodge pickup truck around 2:11 a.m. Sunday in a driveway on Thiells Road and was struck and killed by the same truck, Stony Point Police said.

A lifelong resident of West Haverstraw, Badenchini, was born in Suffern, to Richard and Annamaria (Quattrocchi) Badenchini. 

She was a graduate of North Rockland High School and worked at Learning Ladder Child Day Care for eight years, she had a special gift and loved working with children. 

In a special message, Samantha Neiderman, the owner of the school, posted on Facebook: "Our dear Ashley, words cannot express how saddened we are to hear of your passing. We will miss your contagious smile, team spirit, and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed.. and at times without even being asked. They say a teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart. Ashley, you have touched SO MANY hearts; both big & small. You will always be a part of our Learning Ladder Family ❤ Rest In Peace - We all love you."

In addition to teaching, Badenchini enjoyed country music.

She is survived by her parents Richard and Annamaria Badenchini; brother Christopher, grandparents Stefano and Kathryn Quattrocchi; uncles, Angelo (Cindy) Quattrocchi and David (Katherine) Quattrocchi; her fiancée, Michael McCune, and his family Andrew and Karen McCune.

Badenchini is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Mary & Peter Baroni; her Aunt Angela Quattrocchi - Smith, and Matthew McCune. 

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main St., Haverstraw. The burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peters and St. Mary's Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw.

Her final resting place will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in her family plot. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St, Peters & St. Mary's Church, 115, Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927 or Camp Bullowa, 15 Frank Road, Stony Point, NY 10980.
