ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  Services have been set for former teacher Ashley Nicole Badenchini, 25, who died Sunday after being hit by a pickup truck.

Badenchini, of Stony Point, was killed after she exited a 2015 Dodge pickup truck around 2:11 a.m. Sunday in a driveway on Thiells Road and was struck and killed by the same truck, Stony Point Police said.

A lifelong resident of West Haverstraw, Badenchini, was born in Suffern, to Richard and Annamaria (Quattrocchi) Badenchini.

She was a graduate of North Rockland High School and worked at Learning Ladder Child Day Care for eight years, she had a special gift and loved working with children.

In a special message, Samantha Neiderman, the owner of the school, posted on Facebook: "Our dear Ashley, words cannot express how saddened we are to hear of your passing. We will miss your contagious smile, team spirit, and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed.. and at times without even being asked. They say a teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart. Ashley, you have touched SO MANY hearts; both big & small. You will always be a part of our Learning Ladder Family ❤ Rest In Peace - We all love you."

In addition to teaching, Badenchini enjoyed country music.

She is survived by her parents Richard and Annamaria Badenchini; brother Christopher, grandparents Stefano and Kathryn Quattrocchi; uncles, Angelo (Cindy) Quattrocchi and David (Katherine) Quattrocchi; her fiancée, Michael McCune, and his family Andrew and Karen McCune.
