RAMAPO, N.Y. -- The Ramapo Police Department's Anti-Crime Unit recently arrested two men on suspicion of various drug crimes during unrelated incidents.

The first arrest was that of a 29-year-old Highland Mills, N.Y., man alleged to have been in possession of 380 decks of heroin, according to police.

The man, whose name was not released, was later charged with felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to police.

He was taken to the Rockland County jail, where he was held on $20,000 bail, according to police.

On Thursday, officers investigating a suspicious vehicle found a Vermont man in possession of cocaine, according to authorities.

The man, whose name also was not released, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, according to police.

He was later released without bail, according to authorities, and is to appear in Airmont Village Court at a later date to answer to the charge.
