The Ramapo Police Department and Rockland County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children conducted a sting operation to ensure that local businesses were in compliance with alcohol selling laws.

During the compliance check, a clerk at Fine Wine and Liquors on Chestnut Ridge Road was cited for selling alcohol to an underage undercover. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Chestnut Ridge Court later this year to answer the charge.

Despite the blemish, a dozen businesses in Suffern, Monsey, Wesley Hills, Pomona and Hillcrest were found to be in compliance.
