Expect Traffic Delays Following Accident At Routes 59/Route 306 In Monsey

MONSEY, N.Y. -- Commuters experienced delays Tuesday morning at the corner of routes 59 and 306 in Monsey following a crash between a garbage truck and a mini-van.

The Ramapo building inspector was to check the building that was hit by a garbage truck during an accident Tuesday morning in Monsey.

According to the Ramapo Police Department, the accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when the 1999 Mack truck and the 2015 Toyota Sienna crashed, sending the truck into the building of the former car dealership at the intersection.

No injuries were reported, and the police were working quickly to remove the vehicles to minimize traffic delays. 

The Ramapo building inspector will check the building for any safety issues.
