Hillcrest Man Charged With Domestic Violence

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Hillcrest man was charged with domestic violence Tuesday after getting into a fight with a family member, leaving the victim with marks from being hit, according to the Ramapo police.

Rodly Pierre, 25, of Hazel Court, was charged after police arrived at the home following a domestic violence call for help and found the man with swell marks and lacerations, police said.

The man was charged with assault and criminal mischief, according to police.

In addition, Ramapo police responded to nine motor vehicle accidents at the following locations: Monsey (5), Chestnut Ridge (2), Kaser and Hillburn.

The department also handled 157 calls for service including:

12 alarm activations.
1 fire.
9 medical emergencies.
4 arrests.
