The unidentified 52-year-old man was stopped after officers saw a vehicle driving on Route 59 with a defective brake light, Ramapo Police said.

The driver also failed to maintain a single lane when making a turn, police said.

When stopped, a blood alcohol test showed that he was driving at twice the legal limit of .08 percent. Officers said the man had also been arrested for DWI two months ago.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in August.
