ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A man from Brooklyn who was driving “erratically” on I-87 in Rockland County over the weekend was arrested for operating his motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.

At approximately midnight on Saturday, March 4, state police troopers reported that they stopped 22-year-old Mena Hanna, who was driving erratically on I-87 while passing through Hillburn.

According to police, after initiating a traffic stop, it was determined that Hanna was intoxicated. After being arrested and transported to the state police barrack in Tarrytown, it was determined that Hanna’s blood alcohol content was .19 percent, nearly triple the legal limit.

Hanna was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was turned over to a sober party later that day and issued an appearance ticket. He is due back in Village of Hillburn Court on Thursday, March 23.
