RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old Pomona woman was charged with felony assault after cutting her boyfriend Thursday with a knife, according to Ramapo Police.
Asheli Rae Wade was arrested after Ramapo Police officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Central Avenue in Monsey around 12:30 a.m., said Det. Lt. Mark Emma.
When officers arrived Wade was in verbal dispute with her boyfriend. As officers separated the two, the noticed the man had been wounded, police said.
The man, 26, who didn't live at the home, had a deep slash to his left elbow that was not considered life-threatening. He was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, police said.
Officers recovered the knife used, Emma said.
Wade was being held for arraignment.
