Motorist Injured After Striking Tree In Ramapo

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A local man who was speeding, lost control of his vehicle on Crystal Street on Thursday and slammed into a tree, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

The unidentified driver suffered a leg injury in the accident that occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the Hillcrest section of Ramapo, police said.

The driver, who was treated by Rockland paramedics and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Spring Hill Ambulance, was issued two tickets. One for unreasonable speed and the other for having an expired inspection, police said.
