RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Nanuet man was arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday, March 20, at 3:30 a.m., after Ramapo police stopped the driver for traveling southbound in the northbound lane on Route 45.
According to police, the unidentified 32-year-old man had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent. He was arrested and released after posting bail following arraignment by the Ramapo Justice court.
Also on Sunday, Ramapo police investigated six motor vehicles accident, responded to 75 calls for service; six medical emergencies; seven alarm activations; two fires, and made six arrests including charges for assault in the third degree, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana.
