Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Ramapo

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A male pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle Monday on New Hempstead Road, according to Ramapo Police.

As a result of the investigation into the accident, the roadway has been closed west of Route 45, police said.

The male has been transported to the hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance. The Ramapo Police Accident Investigation Unit is on the scene investigating.

Drivers should expect significant traffic delays in the area, police added.
