Police Probe Stabbing At Spring Valley High School

SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- An ongoing student squabble that snowballed into a brawl Monday left a student injured at Spring Valley High School, according to multiple media reports.

News12 reported that a 15-year-old student suffered superficial wounds after being stabbed by a classmate during the hallway fracas.

The victim was taken to Nyack Hospital and is expected to recover, the News12 report said.

According to lohud.com, security guards broke up the fight and East Ramapo school officials said there may be assault charges pending. 

A police investigation is under way.

About a year ago, another student stabbed a classmate at the high school and is now facing six months in jail when sentenced this spring, the lohud report said.
