Pomona Woman Charged With Attacking Another With Golf Club

POMONA, N.Y. -- A Pomona woman was accused of attacking another woman with a golf club in the Pacesetter Shopping Center in front of the Super Stop & Shop on Sunday.

A Pomona woman attacked another woman in the Pacesetter Shopping Center parking lot with a golf club following an argument.

Lizette Montalvo, 50, was charged with assault, possession of a weapon and criminal mischief after she was accused of attacking a 51-year-old woman with a golf club, hitting her in the head and hand. She also struck the woman's vehicle with the golf club, according to Ramapo Police Detective Lt. Mark Emma.

Ramapo officers also investigated several car accidents, including ones at Carlton Road in Monsey, Route 59 in Monsey, Main Street in Monsey, and two separate accidents on Viola Road in Viola.

The department also handled 109 calls for service, including:

14 alarm activations.
7 fires.
4 medical emergencies.
2 arrests, including the above and one for possession of marijuana in Monsey.
