RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Hillcrest man was charged with driving drunk by Ramapo police after he was stopped on Route 45 for driving erratically on Sunday.
Julio Folgar, 58, was charged after the Ramapo Police Department received a report of an erratic driver and officers found that he was driving under the influence, police said.In addition, Ramapo officers investigated 10 motor vehicle accidents, with one resulting in injuries in Montebello. The other accidents occurred in Monsey , New Square (2), Sloatsburg (2), Airmont (2) and Hillcrest.
Overall, officers responded to 107 calls for service, including:
- 12 alarm activations.
- 7 medical emergencies
- 4 fires
- 3 arrests, including charges for the above DWI, criminal mischief and criminal contempt.
