RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley teen is charged with stealing a cellphone from a car on Monday, police said.

The 17-year-old is facing charges of possession of stolen property, Ramapo police said.

Police are accusing the unidentified teen of rummaging through an unlocked car early Saturday, Dec. 3, and taking the phone and other items.

The suspect was held at Ramapo police headquarters pending arraignment in Spring Valley Justice Court, police said.
