RAMAPO, N.Y. – While the Fourth of July holiday may have only a few more hours to go, Rockland County drivers in Ramapo and other areas will need to remain careful on the roads through the evening.

This is because the Ramapo Police Department has joined forces with Rockland County Stop DWI and other Rockland police agencies to remain on high alert through Tuesday, with 'Crackdown' DWI patrols planned throughout the county.

Stay safe on the roads, and get a ride if you need one.

More tips for safe driving and avoiding DWI incidents can be found at stopdwi.org .
