Ramapo Police Find Stolen Motorcycle In Monsey

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Ramapo sergeant found a stolen motorcycle while patrolling a Monsey shopping center

The officer first observed the motorcycle because it was operating with violations. After stopping the motorcycle and investigating further it was determined that the vehicle was stolen. The 20-year-old operator from Monsey was charged with criminal possession of stolen property. 

On July 12, Ramapo Police handled 141 calls, including: 13 alarm activations, 12 medical emergencies, one fire, and six arrests for charges including criminal possession of stolen property, a bench warrant, and vehicle and traffic offenses. 

RPD handled 11 accidents in the following sections of the Town of Ramapo: Monsey, Kaser, New Hempstead, Viola, Suffern Park, Hillcrest, Airmont, NE Ramapo, and Chestnut Ridge. One accident involved injuries; four were hit and runs.
