RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police handled 169 calls Thursday, including the arrest of a Monsey man wanted on two warrants.A Ramapo officer stopped a vehicle without headlights illuminated at approximately 10 p.m. traveling north on Chestnut Ridge Road, police said.
The driver, 21, had no identification. After his identity was confirmed, the officer discovered that his New York State driver's license was actively suspended 13 times on seven separate dates.
He was also wanted on two warrants and is awaiting arraignment at RPD.
Ramapo Police also handled 20 alarm activations, seven medical emergencies, four fires and three arrests, including charges for unlawful possession of marijuana, vehicle and traffic offenses and warrants.
RPD also responded to 10 motor vehicle accidents in Monsey, New Square, Airmont, Hillcrest, Sterlington, and Viola. Two of the MVAs involved injuries, according to police reports.
