RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo officers were kept running on the Tuesday 4 p.m. to midnight shift working a variety of calls from a restaurant fight to traffic stops to a domestic dispute.

Some of the calls included:

  • Officers responded to a dispute involving an employee of a local fast food restaurant where a 26-year-old female employee, who was intoxicated, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. She was released on her own recognizance, pending a future court appearance. She was also taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
  • Officers also responded to a fire where a resident who had been staining shelves reported that he had placed the staining rags in a bag which later combusted, causing a fire that spread to two units.
  • In another call, officers arrested a 60-year-old female from the Village of Suffern for DWAI-drugs and other vehicle and traffic infractions stemming from an incident in the Town of Ramapo. She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance in the Village of Suffern Court.
  • A 38-year-old female resident of the Village of Airmont was arrested by the police following a domestic incident. She was charged with attempted assault menacing, and obstruction of governmental administration. She was arraigned and released pending a future court appearance.
