RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A tractor-trailer leaking diesel fuel has prompted the closure of Route 306 at Grandview Avenue so Rockland County hazmat teams can respond to the area for cleanup, said Ramapo police Sgt. C. Edwards.
"At this point, the fuel is leaking, not gushing from the truck," Edwards said.
Motorists should avoid the area as hazmat teams undertake the cleanup of the 125 gallons of fuel that has leaked so far, police said.
