RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley man accused of stabbing a Hillcrest resident in his home Tuesday was arrested after a police chase, according to reports.
Jonathan DaSilva, 20, fled the scene after police responded to a Brook Street home on calls of a stabbing, said News12 Hudson Valley.
The suspect was apprehended on North Pascack Road and Ramapo Police charged him with Felony Assault and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, police said.
Rockland Paramedics and Spring Hill Ambulance treated the victim at the scene and he was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, reports News12 Hudson Valley.
DaSilva was remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, police said.
Ramapo police also handled 134 calls for service including 10 medical emergencies, eight alarm activations, one fire, and five arrests, including cases of aggravated sexual abuse and criminal mischief.
