RAMAPO -- The town of Ramapo will enforce its fire and zoning codes or run the risk of state intervention, according to lohud.com.
The state is expected to issue an order to the town soon, requiring that all codes be followed, according to lohud.com, which noted that the latest order may resemble one issued to Spring Valley in October about the village's abundance of uninspected buildings.
Assembly Kenneth Zebrowski, D-New City, called the expected order the "first step in finally restoring some law and order" in Ramapo, according to lohud.com.
News of the expected order comes on the heels of a joint press conference by Zebrowski along with Rockland County Executive Ed day in which the leaders called upon the state to act.
