SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Two men and two women are among those recently arrested by the Suffern Police Department.

Among those charged in the separate incidents was a 35-year-old Toms River, N.J., man who was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to police.

The man was walking in the roadway on Route 202 and found in possession of prescription medication for which he had no prescription, according to police.

A 39-year-old village man also was arrested after a vehicle and traffic stop on Washington Avenue, according to police. The man was turned over to Spring Valley police after local officers learned he was wanted on a warrant there, authorities said.

Two Spring Valley women also were arrested recently after officers using a license plate reader learned that their respective registrations had previously been suspended, according to police.

The women, ages 31 and 32, were charged in unrelated incidents.

Police did not release names for any of those charged.
