SUFFERN, N.Y. -- The main complaints to police in Suffern are in regards to people committing traffic violations such as speeding, aggressive driving, distracted driving and similar.
They take these complaints seriously and focus on areas of concern, mostly reported by residents. This past week they allocated heavy patrols on Route 202 and Ramapo Avenue for speeding violations, Maplewood Boulevard and Yorkshire Drive for stop sign violations and Lafayette Avenue and Washington Avenue for distracted driving enforcement.
They reported good results at these locations and will continue to focus on problem areas throughout the village.
