SLOATSBURG, N.Y. -- The cause of death of a Middletown man, who was found dead outside of a burning car on a dirt road off Waldron Terrace in Sloatsburg, is still undetermined.
The Rockland County medical examiner's autopsy of 48-year-old Ossen Lavaud failed to determine a cause of death, while at the same time Ramapo police are saying that three teens seen in the area have been cleared, and don't have any connection to the case, said lohud.com.
Police said that without an affirmative cause of death, homicide, an accident or suicide all remain viable options. Lavaud's body was found partially burned outside of the car that was also burned, added lohud.com.
