Two Charged With DWI After Car Crashes Into Trees In Chestnut Ridge

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Both the driver of a car that crashed into trees in Chestnut Ridge and a vehicle that stopped at the scene of the accident that occurred early Saturday morning were driving drunk, Ramapo Police said.

Upon arrival at Joyce Drive at around 3:50 a.m., Ramapo Police officers said they found one crashed vehicle which came to a rest amongst trees, and another vehicle driven by a friend of the victim.

Only one minor injury was reported from within the crashed car, police said.

Officers conducted an investigation at the scene, and found that both the driver of the crashed vehicle, and the car that stopped, were drunk.

A 22-year-old man from Airmont and a 21-year-old man from Suffern were both charged with driving while intoxicated and processed at the Ramapo PD Stationhouse.
