ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  Two people suffered injuries during a two-car crash on Route 59 around 4:20 p.m. Monday just east of College Road, according to the Ramapo Police.

The crash took place when the driver of a white van was making a left turn out of the Chase Bank parking lot and pulled in front of a taxi traveling westbound in the left turn lane, police said.

Two people suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
