The Stony Point Police Department was notified on Nov. 13 by a Loss Prevention Officer at the ShopRite location on Holt Drive who was holding 24-year-old Haverstraw resident Ruica White, who allegedly stole $44.83 worth of merchandise from the store.
Police said that White was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court next month to answer the charge.
