Election Results Face Challenges In Orangetown, Clarkstown

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two elections in Rockland are not over yet.

Challenges have been mounted in the Orangetown Supervisor Race and the race for Clarkstown Councilman in Ward 2.

In Orangetown, both candidates for supervisor, Democrat Thom Kleiner and Republican Chris Day, son of County Executive Ed Day have filed objections according to LoHud. Day currently leads Kleiner by 190 votes.

In Clarkstown, challenges were filed in the race for Ward 2 between Democrat Daniel Caprara and Republican Peter Bradley. Caprara leads Bradley by 25 votes and the balance of power on the Clarkstown Town Board hangs in the balance.

Bradly is contesting the validity of absentee ballots and affidavits, according to LoHud. According to the Rockland County Board of Elections, 317 absentee ballots were filed for Ward 2.
