RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo voters will decide in November who will join the Town Board after the recent resignation of Samuel Tress.
The election will be held on Nov. 8. Parties have until Sept. 20 to file a certificate of nomination to be placed on the ballot, according to a story on LoHud.com.
Tress' term expires in 2019. He resigned after pleading guilty to official misconduct and was fined in connection with his vote on the Zoning Board of Appeals for a zoning change to a housing development in which he had a financial interest.
