RAMAPO, N.Y. -- An advisory board that has spent five months investigating the East Ramapo School district offered up a list of 19 reforms on Monday, according to LoHud.com.

The panel was led by former New York City chancellor Dennis Walcott. Recommendations included: Installing a state monitor with power to veto the school board's decisions, having parents of public school students serve on the school board and reforming busing policies, LoHud.com reported.
