SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Rockland Community College is inviting the public to the grand opening of its brand-new automotive technology center in May.
The ribbon-cutting for The Herbert Kurz Automotive Technology Center is set for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, the college said.
The center is located at 37 Ramland Road in Orangeburg.
The 27,304-square-foot center includes five classrooms, a Snap-On certified lab with 10 lifts, and customized Snap-On equipment.
All its instructors are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence and have extensive industry and factory training, the college said.
This project was funded by the Kurz Family Foundation.
